Purchasing Problems

This page covers problems arising from the purchasing of domains using our service.

The first step to solving your problems is to read the manual if you have not already done so. This has a step by step guide to buying your domain. Having read the manual, this page will try to answer any of your questions.

When have I ordered?

Throughout 123go, you have never placed an order until you have been shown a conformation page and clicked on "Confirm." Check your order on the confirm page. Unless you press "Confirm" you haven't bought anything.

Who owns the domain?

You do, and are listed as the owner.

What rules are there for domain registration

.com, .org and .net domains can be up to 67 letters long including the .com, .org etc. UK domains can be up to 200 characters long including .co.uk etc. Domains are not case sensitive, and may be made up of letters, numbers and hyphens, with the exception that you can't have a hyphen at the end or beginning of your domain name.

What happens if you cannot register my domains?

The chances of us not being able to register your domain is very slim indeed, and usually occurs if someone grabs your domain between you searching for it and us purchasing it for you. Still it can happen, and if it does, we will refund you in full.

Can I change my order once I have ordered?

No. Once you confirm an order that's it. No alterations, no refunds. You can always order more things of course later if you have forgotten anything.

You've charged me the wrong amount

If we think you've been charged too little, then hurrah, your luck's in! Go buy yourself something nice / a McDonalds / a penny chew* (*delete according to amount gained)

If you think we have overcharged you then check your credit card bill / statement. Find the date and the amount you think we have over charged. Log in and click history for each domain that started that day. This tells you the price we charged for all the orders you made associated with this domain. If you think you have been charged incorrectly, use the form.

I've typed in the wrong details and ordered.

If you've typed in the wrong credit card details, the transaction will not go through. Try again with the right details. If you've typed in the wrong name or home address then chances are the card will not go through either - no problem. If it does, then you can change your name and address details once you've logged in (see the manual or your introductory email for details).

If you have typed the wrong email address... We do try to check that your address is valid. However our checking system is not perfect. You could try writing to the address you have typed in, and if it is valid, get the owner to forward the details.

As a last resort contact us using the form.

Can I pay by cheque, cash, livestock, barter...

No. To keep costs down, credit/debit cards is all we take.

Can I get a better price?

You can't get a better price! What do you want- for us to give it away?
